ARSENAL LAUNCH NEW KIT INSPIRED BY THE PICCADILLY LINE
Fresh from releasing a retro-inspired collection with Adidas Originals just before Christmas, Arsenal are back with another collab and this time they’ve got TfL on board. Yep for the team’s new pre-match kit features the seat pattern (aka the moquette) from Piccadilly Line trains in nod to the line that runs through Arsenal station, which is the only underground station to be named after a football club. it was renamed from Gillespie Road in 1932 thanks to efforts from then-manager Herbert Chapman, who pushed for the change to make it easier for fans to know how to get to see the team.
The new range, which includes an adult and youth jersey, trousers and a reversible padded vest, will be worn by players during warm-ups ahead of matches for the rest of the season. London-based artist and Arsenal fan Reuben Dangoor has also created a limited-edition Oyster card to go with the gear, so you can rep the shirt on the line that inspired it.
