Gigi Hadid and Tan France are teaming up to host Netflix’s Next in Fashion season two

Gigi Hadid is best-known for her powerful runway presence and for being part of the most glamorous fashion set in the world — and, yes, she did have a baby with ‘that guy’ from 1D. But it looks the model is adding heat another string to her bow and trying her hand at being a TV presenter, joining Queer Eye‘s Tan France to present Next In Fashion Season 2.

Despite being a huge hit with with Netflix fans, the show — which sees designers team up and compete for a $250,000 prize by creating visionary fashion looks — was cancelled in 2020 after one series, hosted by Alexa Chung and Tan.  But it’s back with Gigi now at the helm, and we cannot wait.

Confirming the news, Tan and Gigi shared the same photo and caption to Instagram, writing: “Who would have thought when we met over Facetime 4 years ago (thanks @evachen212) that we’d be hosting NEXT IN FASHION TOGETHER!”

Just look at that combined glow…

The pair credit their the meeting over video call to Eva Chen, director of fashion partnerships at Instagram (aka the dream job), who also appeared as a judge during the first series.

The official Instagram page of the series also shared a photo of the pair with the caption: “SOME NEWS: these two besties are hosting Next In Fashion Season 2!”

And, having begun her modelling career aged two after being discovered by Guess co-founder Paul Marciano, who better to host a show all about serving fabulous fashion looks than the Queen of the Catwalk herself (yes, we’re still talking about Gigi Hadid, obv). And we can’t even begin to imagine the kind of powerful on-screen chemistry that this pair are about to bless us with.

While Next in Fashion only released one season in January 2020, before being axed later that same year, the social media announcement has prompted plenty of positive reactions from fans.

“Yesyesyesyesyesyes,” wrote one, while another of Gigi’s followers commented: “YES! This is going to be brilliant.”

In fact, Gigi’s post has already racked up over 1.5 million likes, while Tan’s contribution isn’t fair behind.

In the first series, the programme featured guest appearances from designers including Tommy Hilfiger, Phillip Lim, Prabal Gurung, Monique Lhullier and Christopher Kane, as well as model Adriana Lima and The Gossip’s Beth Ditto, so we can’t wait to see who will be joining the candidates this time around.

We don’t have a release date yet, but you can bet that we’ve set notifications to ‘on’ across both Tan and Gigi’s Instagram, so stay tuned.
