Willowberry PHA Liquid Exfoliator

[unpaid/sample] I have been so looking forward to posting about the new Willowberry PHA Liquid Exfoliator but wanted to wait until launch day – today! I’ve had a sample of this since I met up with Jenny for coffee in January and it’s an absolute delight. PHAs (polyhydroxy acids) are so much gentler than BHAs and AHAs – to my mind it’s no co-incidence that there’s an upsurge in searches for calming skin care. I even saw recently one brand offering a calming product ‘for when you’ve overdone the acid’ which presumably is their own acid with their own application instructions. So, if you find acids a bit much – and that’s occurring more and more – but still want the softening and smoothing that they bring to the skin, PHAs are your answer.

Willowberry PHA Liquid Exfoliator Review

Even sensitive skin should be able to rub along nicely with this formula – a blend of PHAs, gluconolactone and lactobionic acid which give a slower, more gradual exfoliation rather than instant strip. In texture, it feels like a thick water but it’s immediately at home on the complexion and you can build your routine of serums and moisturisers over it. You’ll notice the benefit straight away in the form of softness and over time (not a long time – a week or so) you’ll start to notice a brightness as the dead skin cells leave. If you find your skin has become more sensitive across the menopause years which is very common, Willowberry PHA Liquid Exfoliator is a very good option for you as well as being older skin compatible thanks to its humectant properties that ensure no drying. It’s little wonder really that it feels so lovely on the skin – aloe vera, chamomile and cucumber are all super soothing, while pumpkin enzyme, hyaluronic and amino acids support the exfoliating action. I’ve long preferred enzymatic exfoliation to physical and this gentle blend is a very welcome addition to the category.

Willowberry PHA Liquid Exfoliator is £28.99 HERE but if you use code PHA10 you will get 10% discount on it.
