These Gorgeous Candlelight Concerts Will Be Enchanting London This Year

We understand the struggle of hunting for an extra special, unique event to sweep you (or your loved ones) off your feet and luckily, Fever’s captivating Candlelight Concerts are here to help! You’ll hear music from some of the greatest contemporary composers and artists whilst enjoying the serene surrounds of a venue that’s been bathed in the gentle glow of candlelight. All you have to do is take your seat, sit back, and enjoy. With mesmerising music from the likes of David Bowie, Ella Fitzgerald, Hans Zimmer and Ludovico Einaudi filling the halls or floating from stained glass windows of architectural gems around London, there’s something to suit every taste!

These enchanting musical evenings will take place in atmospheric venues from all over London, each one bringing its own special charm to the occasion. The city has already played host to a number of Candlelight Concerts throughout 2021, where historic architecture or striking industrial features have served as a fascinating backdrop to musical performances, highlighted only by butter-yellow candlelight that dances across the venue. If this all rings a bell, you may have counted yourself among the crowds that enjoyed candlelit performances as at locations such as Southwark CathedralButcher’s Hall, Central Hall Westminster and Freemasons’ Hall the past year – or even found yourself with a front row seat on one of the floating concerts which cruised along the Thames.

You can embark on a stirring journey through Hans Zimmer’s greatest film soundtracks. Music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, Inception, Sherlock Holmes, and The Holiday will all be featured. Speaking of films, you might also want to lose yourself in the dynamic music of sci-fi and fantasy or simply fall under the spell of some magical movie soundtracks.

Can’t get enough of the heartfelt songwriting of genre-hopping star Taylor Swift? Fever have that covered, celebrating the best of the artist with a classical twist: a string quartet will be performing some of her well-known favourites with goosebump-inducing timbres and bewitching harmonies. Fans of folksy acoustics will also be in their element at Candlelight: Tribute To Ed Sheeran or, if you’re after a bit of synth-drenched nostalgia, you can listen the timeless hits of the legendary David Bowie brought to life by talented musicians.

Alternatively, you may want to relax and take in the music of talented pianist Ludovico Einaudi, whose meditative, minimalist tunes ensnare the senses, making his work perfect for one of Fever’s fabulous candlelight concerts. There’s more than one way to bring music to life and lovers of the ballet will no doubt be thrilled to learn that the expressive form of dance will also feature in certain concerts – Candlelight: Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake & More ft. Ballet has both spellbinding instrumentals and beautiful ballet performances. When it comes to candlelight concerts in 2022, you are truly spoilt for choice.
