Andrea Garland Spring Lip Balm

[unpaid/sample] I’ve featured lots of Andrea’s balms in the past – they’re always so lovely and full of fun so this one seemed the perfect leap into spring beauty for the first day of March. There is a lot going on in the world just now that we are all very much aware of and it’s a tricky call whether to bring it to attention here or just continue to offer a space that is a shelter from other things. So, I’ve decided on the latter for here while using my other channels to bring attention to ways to help on the situation. I want to be mindful of using the (so-called) influence for the good where possible but also understand that sometimes, a place away from the world is useful too. So, on we go with the sweetest little balm – who cannot adore a cat amongst the daffs?!

Andrea Garland Spring Lip Balm

My grandmother had a book – which I suppose must have been for my mum and aunt – about a naughty cat called Nicholas Thomas and this little chap here took me right back to those days because he has the same sort of cheeky face. I am sure it’s very (very) non-PC now but we loved it as children and especially because it was one of the special things that we only had at grandma’s house. Weirdly, we also used to pile into my grandparents’ bed to be read the Fred Bassett cartoon by my grandpa which lasted all of 20 seconds but was a morning highlight :-).

I think I might have even featured this particular design before but it’s very deserving of a second time in any case. The balm can be ordered with a pink or a red tint as well and while this contains beeswax, there is a vegan formula available too. Otherwise, the main ingredients are shea butter, meadowfoam seed oil and coconut oil so it makes for a lovely, nourishing formula that leaves lips soft and sheeny. There are selected essential oils so do read the ingredient list first. It’s £15 HERE.
