HOW TO STAND WITH UKRAINE IN LONDON

Londoners, if you’re looking to help Ukraine, we’ve rounded up some of the ways you can show your support right here in London. From donating spare items of clothing to getting involved in online supper clubs to donating your pennies and pounds, this is what we can do to #StandWithUkraine…

Forza Wine Raffle – Forza is running a raffle to help raise money for UNICEF Ukraine. The prize includes a table for four with a litre of wine and the whole menu to choose from. Each ticket costs a fiver and you’ve got until Monday to buy as many as you like.

#CookForUkraine – You can join the #CookForUkraine movement by hosting your own supper club, inviting your friends along and then suggesting a donation to this Just Giving page. Or, if you don’t fancy cooking and hosting, check out some of the great ones happening in London including the likes of Martha Delacey’s MuffDining and Natalie Chassay‘s online class. The hospo industry is also getting involved by adding a voluntary £1, £2, or £5 donation to the bill throughout the month of March 2022, with some our faves including Popham’s, Wild By Tart, Imad’s Syrian Kitchen and more taking part.

In Conversation With Olia And Alissa – On Tuesday 8th March, Ukrainian chef Olia Hercules will be chatting to Russian chef Alissa Timoshkina at Notting Hill’s Layla Bakery. They’ll be discussing all things Ukrainian and Russian culture (mostly foodie things), with all proceeds aiding children & families in Ukraine who have been displaced by the current situation. You can buy tickets here.

Choose Love Fundraiser – At the beginning of another major refugee crisis, Choose Love is fundraising to provide vital aid and services to those still in and fleeing the country. Donations will go towards emergency medical care, food, shelter, clothes, legal support and mental health support, so if you have anything to spare, here is where you can donate.

Lewisham Polish Centre – South London’s Lewisham Polish Centre is collecting everything from clothing to medical supplies to bed linen. You can keep up-to-date with what they need on their Insta.

Buy Dima’s Bottle Cocktails – Ukrainian vodka brand, Dima’s will be donating ALL of the money (not just the profit) from their bottled cocktails to the organisations Come Back Alive and British-Ukrainian Aid. You have to purchase all four bottles to support, but with a line-up including Dirty Fig Martini, Kyiv’s Coffee, Electropolitan and Pickled Gimlet, we’re more than happy to oblige. You can shop here.

Prosperity – The Ukrainian-run restaurant in Twickenham, Prosperity, is putting together care packages to take over to Ukrainians arriving in Poland. They’re accepting any donations until Monday 7th March and can see what items they need, as well as where to drop them off here.

Support Damian Wawrzyniak – Polish chef Damian Wawrzyniak is raising money to transport donations from the UK over to the Ukrainian/Polish border. You can donate on his page here.

White Eagle Club – Balham’s White Eagle Club is also taking donations, so check out what they need over on their Facebook page here.
