This Online Auction By Museum Of The Home Is Helping To Tackle Female Homelessness

Today (March 8) is International Women’s Day and while many strive for true equality, the sad reality is that we are still a way off.

One organisation looking to do their bit to change this fact is Museum Of The Home, who have launched an online auction as part of their “Behind The Door” campaign to tackle female homelessness.

Museum Of The Home have partnered with the London Homeless Collective to tackle this “increasing but under-resourced problem”, and you can donate to their fundraiser here.

Plus, you’ll have a chance to enter their online auction between now and Sunday, March 13, with a stack of brilliant prizes up for grabs. Those who enter the auction have a chance to win a private tutorial with architectural designer John Pawson; getaways to the likes of Venice and Tulum, Mexico; a trip to a flea market with vintage expert Paula Sutton (of Hill House Vintage fame); lunch for two at The River Cafe; and more. This comes ahead of the Yard Sale at Kingsland Road Gardens on March 12, where designers and creatives – from the likes of The New Craftsman, Skye McAline and more – join forces for this brilliant fundraiser. Stallholders are each donating a percentage of their earnings to the London Homeless Collective, a group of over 25 charities that work with homeless people all year round. You can purchase tickets (£5-15) to Yard Sale and find more details here.

“Behind The Door” by Museum Of The Home aims to change the lives of the many women and families facing homeless, and hope their campaign can help their collective goal of ending female homelessness in London by 2025.
