The Full Lineup For Pride In London Has Been Revealed For 2022
Pride in London is always a momentous occasion, but when you have the added factor of 2022 a) being the first full celebration since 2019 due to the pandemic and b) marking the parade’s 50th anniversary in the city, you can bet a pretty penny that it’s going to be a huge one.
In order to match a celebration that big, a sizeable lineup is required, so it’s a good thing they’ve gone and pulled just that out the bag. Pride has just announced their star-studded bill, and attendees can expect to see Ava Max, Emeli Sandé, and Eurovision 2018 winner Netta, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars The Vivienne and Lawrence Chaney among many others.
The parade takes place on July 2, and the stars will appear across a multitude of locations along the route. Catch Long Hot Summer singer Kat Graham and Samantha Jones on the Trafalgar Square stage, or head to the Leicester Square stage, which this year is dedicated to showcasing women, trans and non-binary acts across the day. Expect to see the likes of Krystal Lake, July Jones and Eddy Luna take to the stage.
The parade kicks off in Hyde Park to commerate the starting point of the first post-march picnic in 1972, before heading to Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket and Trafalgar Square and ending in Whitehall Place.
Throughout June, Pride in London are running a full schedule of events across the capital, with proceeds going towards a multitude of charities, such as House of Rainbow and Black Trans Alliance. Check out the events here.
