Wildsmith Skin Stillness Body Oil
[unpaid/sample] It’s taken me a while to get round to trying this body oil from Wildsmith Skin that came in a parcel from The Beauty Bible Awards. Not only has the brand conducted clinical trials but they’ve also put their products out to Beauty Bible testers – and won two awards prior to winning with Stillness Body Oil this year. This particular product has been formulated for rest and stillness – which is something that we could all do with. It’s also best in class at not making chamomile smell like stables.
I thought I could smell something sweet and a little bit heady – sure enough, on the ingredient list is jasmine! In fact, this smells to me more like jasmine at the beginning than any of the other oils and as it’s one of my favourite fragrance notes I’m finding it absolutely delicious. After a while the jasmine settles and the lavender and chamomile are more present so this would be an excellent bed time oil. The top three ingredients are grapeseed, evening primrose and raspberry seed oils, all of which are indicative that it’s not your ordinary body oil – no coconut or jojoba which would be cheaper options for carriers. It’s easily one of the best body oils I’ve ever used – it feels so sumptuous on the skin, the scent is beautiful and Wildsmith uses some of the most sustainable practises I’ve come across. It’s a homegrown brand based in Hampshire – even the website is calming and peaceful. It’s £38 but I found a code for 20% off if it’s your first purchase with WELCOME20 HERE. It’s also worth looking at their mycelium packaging (fully compostable in 90 days), their return and recycle program and tailor made ingredient ordering that allows for no waste. If you want to see why it got a Beauty Bible Award, their comments are HERE.
