Europe’s largest celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern descent, UK Black Pride, is returning to London on 14th August. But before the day itself, two official warm-up events will be held at the Stratford Hotel’s Manhattan Loft Gardens to get the party started early. On 11th August, political activist and co-founder of UK Black Pride Lady Phyll will host an evening of cocktails, canapés, discussion and performances from the likes of Yshee Black and Tenaka Fuego. And on 13th August, drag queen and Drag Race UK interviewee Yshee Black will be holding a special Kings and Queens of Colour edition of her show, The Church of Yshee. Tickets are on sale now, and 100% of the revenue goes towards supporting UK Black Pride and LGBT+ human rights organisation Kaleidoscope Trust.
