This Leading Street Artist Is Bringing A New Exhibition To Peckham This Month
New to SE15’s Copeland Gallery this month is ‘All Alone In A Crowded Room’ – a brand new contemporary art exhibition from the 30-year-old Ant Carver. He’s one of the leading street artists in London, whose intricate work you may have seen lining the walls of Brick Lane, Shoreditch, East Dulwich and Plumstead.
Ant’s work as an artist predominantly revolves around various different life experiences – most recently linked to his own reflections on grief and loss throughout his life.
With its opening night in Peckham on Wednesday September 7, the exhibition is designed to empower and encourage expressions of grief, especially among young people who may be experiencing bereavement and loss alone.
‘All Alone In A Crowded Room’ has been two years in the making, and the 22 different portraits on show here combine street art techniques with a more traditional, portraiture style – creating something really unique and special in the process. Ultimately, you’ll be invited to explore your own experiences of grief and see what you identify with most as you explore each individual artwork on show.
The art exhibition is completely free to enter and is showing from Wednesday September 7 (from 6pm) until Sunday September 11 at Peckham’s Copeland Gallery. You can find out more about the gallery here and about Ant Carver’s work here.
