Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Brightening Flawless Finish Powder Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Hmmm, *taps fingers* – it’s always rather difficult to know whether brightening powders really do anything much away from studio lights, but when I tested this over the weekend in the kitchen I actually thought it did. There’s a noticeable effect under my eyes in terms of looking more radiant.

I think all the brightening powders of today stem from the popularity of T Leclerc Poudre Banane which had its moment in the UK spotlight about a decade ago. It doesn’t look like T Leclerc is even available in the UK any more (but still going strong in French pharmacies) which feels like a shame. The new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Brightening Flawless Finish Powder differs from the existing Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder in that it directly targets dark circles and shadows and eliminates flashback. Let me be clear that there is no ‘lifting’ effect 😉 as mentioned in the marketing materials (‘94% agree it lifts the look of the complexion’ – define ‘lift’ here please).

What I can certainly say is that it’s lighter than air – a very easy to wear powder (and I say this as a powder hater) that brightens pleasantly. It’s something I would wear if I was going out and wanted to look extra nice – you can apply it with a smaller brush directly to the under eye area or anywhere you feel is shadowy or you can give an all over effect with a bigger brush swept over the complexion.

This is screen grabbing from IG where I have reviewed it as well – in the third and fourth picture along I think you can see the brightening – particularly picture 3. But it’s perhaps best, if you are on IG to take a look there. Otherwise, it’s £36 HERE .. I’d suggest building up in very light layers – I feel there might be a touch of metal-face otherwise and do check in daylight as well as in front of the mirror.
