Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Hold Hands in Powerful BTS Photos From UK Event

Is #couplegoals still a thing? Because Meghan Markle and Prince Harry definitely are.

Before the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were already visiting the UK for a series of engagements, including the One Young World Summit in Manchester on September 5. Meghan made a bold return to her husband’s homeland in a vibrant red monochrome ensemble by AnotherTomorrow.

For a speech in front of a crowd of future leaders, Markle paired the brand’s Bow Blouse (£476) with its Classic Trousers (£520) in the shade Fire Red, completing the look with a pair of crimson Aquazzura heels and gold earrings. Prince Harry, meanwhile, accompanied his wife in a classic black suit.

On October 3, nearly one month later, the couple’s go-to photographer Misan Harriman shared a series of powerful images of the couple “moments before” their entrance at the opening ceremony.

Bold was definitely the right word to use. In the first photo, Meghan Markle looks nothing short of powerful as she looks directly into Harriman’s lens, standing slightly in front of her husband and lightly holding his hand.

In the second shot, the couple’s hands were linked completely.

Harriman is the same man who photographed the Sussex family when Markle was pregnant with Lilibet Diana. “Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow,” Harriman tweeted alongside the now iconic image on February 14, 2021. “Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!”

Here’s how Harriman described Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in an interview with British Vogue: “With the tree of life behind them and the garden representing fertility, life and moving forward, they didn’t need any direction, because they are, and always have been, waltzing through life together as absolute soulmates.”

Clearly, nothing has changed.
