The Blues Kitchen Brixton Is Hosting Two Special Yoga Classes For World Mental Health Day

Monday, October 10, marks World Mental Health Day, and to honour the occasion, The Blues Kitchen in Brixton will be hosting two pop up yoga sessions. Swapping dinners for downward dogs, the venue has paired up with global music service provider Rehegoo for the two 60-minute sessions, and proceeds will go towards charities CALM and Hospitality Action.

At 6pm–7pm, then again at 7.45pm–8.45pm, guests will undergo a transformational Sattva Yoga experience, led by Caleb Jude Packham aka The Wellness Warrior. He’ll focus on different postures, breath work, chants and meditation to build strength and aid in mental clarity. As a music service provider, Rehegoo will be providing the soundtrack to these Blues Kitchen yoga sessions, with DJ Dotmaka of Fluida at the helm.

Both classes are suitable for all levels, including complete beginners, and yoga mats and blocks will be provided. All you need to do is book your ticket and come along in comfy clothes with your water bottle.

Tickets are just £10 each, and for every ticket sold, Rehegoo will match the cost, therefore doubling the donations. The funds raised will go towards the vital work Hospitality Action and CALM do in supporting suicide prevention and those struggling with their mental health. At the end of the session, each guest will receive a goody bag, containing products donated by event partners, including Fuel10K and Huel.
