We’re Obsessed With… This Viral Peeling Mask
The Ordinary products caught my attention, few years ago after unfortunately suffering with hormonal acne. A few friends had mentioned the brand to me, and it was constantly plastered across my ‘For You’ page on Tik Tok. That was when I knew I had to get involved and try it for myself.
With that in mind I soon came across The Ordinary’s 30% AHA + 2% BHA Peeling Solution – it originally caught my attention purely because of the glaring crimson colour the formula consists of – it was hard to miss the red face masked selfies taking over my social media. However, I went on to read what results others were getting from the product and I was amazed at how brilliant the reviews were. I knew I had to get my hands on it during my next BEAUTY BAY haul.
At £6.25 per bottle how could I say no? One thing you can’t argue about The Ordinary is their prices are always spot on for quality affordable skincare. I started off by cleansing my face and patting dry then carefully applying the peeling solution. I am a daily user of salicylic, lactic, and glycolic acid so I didn’t think twice before lathering my face and waiting for the slight sting that came after. This is how I knew it was working. The solution went on smoothly and wasn’t as runny as I first anticipated. It says to leave it for 10 minutes, so I did exactly that and rinsed off with water. Not before taking a selfie of course! Afterwards I continued with my usual night serum and SPF to finish.
The next day my skin instantly looked less dull and tired. Surprisingly the formula didn’t irritate my sensitive skin and has since helped to clear my left-over dark spots from acne. One thing I did notice was how much it has started to minimize my larger pores – something I was very self-conscious of before and would forever try to cover up with make-up.
As a result, the peeling solution is great value for money with even better results. I would absolutely recommend people to try this product and add to their weekly skin regime. The peeling solution has been a real game changer for me and has made me eager to expand my collection of The Ordinary products.
