If you’re looking to line your stomach and tuck into some tasty grub before you get your drink on, then this roundup may just be for you. Kicking off this list of the best places to go for New Year’s Eve dinners this year is Skylight Peckham – who this year are throwing a rooftop celebration to remember. As the sun sets over London’s iconic skyline and the city lights up, you’ll be able to enjoy a special three-course menu created by Chef Karan, which includes dishes such as fresh smoked salmon with a cucumber and caviar vinaigrette, tender roast lamb shoulder with saffron dauphinoise, and creamy wild mushroom and truffle pearl barley risotto. 

For dessert, decadent triple chocolate cake with smooth vanilla chantilly and brandy snaps is the perfect sweet treat to finish. SUSHISAMBA’s festive season will culminate with an electrifying New Year’s Eve celebration – billed as ‘Sambazonia’ – at both Heron Tower and at the Covent Garden branch. You’ll start the night at Oblix West – which offers two luxurious tasting menus curated by Executive Chef Marcus Eaves, across an early and later sitting.

You’re then invited to head over to Oblix East, for an evening of entertainment and to carry on the party until the early hours. See out 2022 with an all day swing extravaganza right in the heart of London’s West End at Quaglinos, with the theme of ‘All That Glitters Is Gold’. Live entertainment starts with the swing brunch at 12pm, followed by early dinner seatings from 6.30pm or there’s the option to choose the late dinner seatings, meaning guests can keep their tables right up until 3am. 

Dishes include wild halibut with burnt cauliflower purée, and purple cauliflower grenobloise and handmade saffron linguine with black truffle, cep emulsion and confit egg yolk. This festive season, Chino Latino is throwing an unmissable New Year’s Eve celebration, hosting an evening of delectable dishes, live music and late night DJs, with unrivalled views of those epic fireworks over the river Thames. Executive Chef Werner Seebach has created an exciting menu that celebrates a mix of unique, exotic flavours, as well as much-loved classics laced with Latino flourishes from Peruvian cuisine.

The menu will feature a selection of specialities such as seared tuna nigiri with an apple mustard vinaigrette, Chilean sea bass with smoked chipotle, and grilled scallops with a tangy yuzu mayo. The perfect sweet treat to finish, a dessert buffet will include decadent chocolate truffles and a selection of mochi ice cream. As midnight approaches, you’ll be able to watch the fireworks lighting up the Thames, before enjoying a late night DJ set who will keep the tunes spinning until 3am.

On top of a night of live DJs playing an array of eclectic tunes, mixologists will be shaking up limited edition ‘glitter margaritas’ whilst the kitchen serves up street food-style tacos, quesadillas and churros with smokey mez-chocolate sauce.

For those wishing to start earlier in the day, they’ll be hosting their final ‘Shanghai brunch’, or for those looking to celebrate a little later in the night, a selection of dining options are available for revellers to choose from. 

Early dining is available in the Salon de Chine from 5.30pm to 7.30pm which includes a festive menu, a glass of Champers on arrival and a live band, or you can opt for a later seating which will keep you going until the wee hours with added live entertainment too. If you’re looking to go all out, then head down to Club Chinois which on top of some delectable dishes includes their famous acrobatics show and a New Years’ Eve countdown too. 

10. Amazónico

Amazónico, the Latin American restaurant and bar in Berkeley Square, will be bringing their legendary jungle fever party to Mayfair this New Year, set to be bigger and better than ever before.  Inspired by the disco era of Studio 54, they’ll play host to world-renowned and Grammy Award-winning DJ Roger Sanchez, and for the first time ever, they’ll also have an open bar with exclusive cocktails, all designed especially for the all-important night. 

You’ll be able to choose from four different package options, with various entry and exit times. Though it ain’t particularly cheap, the star of the show is arguably the ‘jungle fever experience’ which includes free-flowing drinks and dishes such as A5 wagyu sirloin with Sturia Baeri caviar, native lobster with achiote chilli butter and black mint marinated lamb chops. Our mouths are pretty much salivating at the thought.

Choose from a selection of starters including black truffle rigatoni and venison carpaccio with pickled mushrooms, rocket and fresh truffles – then continue with mains like wild sea bass on artichoke puree with leeks, Champagne and caviar sauce or an organic duck breast with beetroot, black berries and citrus sauce. End with an array of mouthwatering desserts, then opt to join the afterparty where DJ Tony Piscatelli and the Percussionists will be performing.
