BLACK BEAR BURGER IS LAUNCHING A NEW FRIED CHICKEN SPOT
20ft Fried Chicken will open in Market Halls this February
If you’re familiar with Black Bear Burger, you’ll know that they’re responsible for some of the best burgers in the city – and that they already have a fried chicken burger on the menu. But, they’re expanding on that with a new concept entirely dedicated to the sandwich. Aiming to land at the higher end of the fried-chicken market, 20ft Fried Chicken will be launching next month inside Oxford Street’s Market Halls alongside the likes of Le Bab, BaoziInn and Gopal’s Corner.
The menu features a range of new takes on classics, each made with sesame demi-brioche buns and pickles, ferments and sauces that are made in-house. Highlights will include:
- The 20 FT Burger (buttermilk fried chicken, Habanero & honey mayo, B&B pickles & slaw)
- The Big Chill Burger (buttermilk fried chicken, fermented chilli hot sauce, pickled celery, ranch dressing, shredded iceberg & pickles)
- Spring Roll (fried chicken, cheese & hot sauce in a deep-fried wonton, served with pickles & dipping sauce)
BBB isn’t the first burger brand to have a fried chicken side hustle, with Patty & Bun launching SideChick and Byron buying Mother Clucker. And it’s not just burger brands branching out, Dumpling Shack just launched a new punchy fried chicken spot, Sichuan Fry, earlier this month. Fried chicken seems to be having a bit of a moment right now – luckily for us Londoners who clearly have the appetite for it.
And we’ve got a little INSIDERS tip on how to save £££ on those 20ft Fried Chicken buns.
