TOM SELLERS TO OPEN A PARISIAN-STYLE ROTISSERIE IN NEAL’S YARD

Story Cellar will open in March, with a menu of dishes inspired by the French capital

Not long after we heard that Restaurant Story’s Tom Sellers was launching Dovetale inside the new 1 Hotel this May, it’s been announced that he has yet another opening planned for 2023. This March, Sellers will be bringing Story Cellar, a continuation of his debut, to Neal’s Yard with Stephen Naylor (sous chef of Restaurant Story for the past four years) acting as head chef.

Story Cellar’s food offering will centre around rotisserie chicken, but there’ll also be a range of classic dishes that have been reimagined by Sellers – expect the likes of a house terrine and a daily-changing grill and fish of the day. And, for quick lunches or to accompany a glass of wine, there’ll be house-cured charcuterie and small plates too.

Drinks wise, the fine wine programme will be supported by a Coravin system, meaning that diners will have the chance to try rare wines that would usually only be available by the bottle. The restaurant will have mostly counter-style seating, with spaces by the windows looking out onto Neal’s Yard – sounds like this is poised to become a hot people watching spot.
