Taking place on April 3, 2023, the giveaway is completely unlimited. That means once you’ve finished your scoop you’re more than welcome to simply turn around and get back in line for even more free ice cream. The annual ice cream celebration dates all the way back to the ice cream duo’s first free cone day, which celebrated a year in business. Now, over 40 years later, they’re back and aiming to give away over a million free scoops!

How to grab a free cone

Ben & Jerry’s know that you want as little interference and obstruction between you and your free ice cream. As such, ice-cream fans can head to their website, where they can find out which locations are participating in the giveaway. Once you know where to go, simply turn up between 12 and 8pm, and net yourself a free scoop. It really couldn’t be easier. And you’re not restricted in your choice – you can have whatever flavour (or flavours) you’d like as part of the Free Cone Day giveaway.

It’s not merely restricted to ice cream shops either, with some cinemas also getting in on the action. That means in London there are three venues participating in the giveaway: Ben & Jerry’s’ Soho Scoop Shop, Empire Cinema Walthamstow, and Empire Cinema Sutton.
