A New Aperitivo Bar Is Heading To the Bermondsey Beer Mile To Serve Up Summer Spritzes

Aperitivos and summer go hand in hand. These Days have been well-loved for their handy aperitivo cans for on the go and their larger bottles which are perfect for sharing tipples with mates. But now, as the warmer weather starts to very slowly roll in, they are opening up a bar right on the Bermondsey Beer Mile for all of your aperitivo needs.

The bar opens on May 11 and is led by These Days founder Oli Man, previously of The Culpeper, a Spitalfields staple that was named in Europe’s top 5 cocktail bars last year. These Days have taken a modern approach to aperitivos (hence the name) and focus on spritzes made with all natural flavours mixed with high quality organic wine from the sunny South of France. Guilt-free spritzes that are both lower in sugar and in calories, that you can sip all summer long without worrying about any of the bad stuff. What’s not to enjoy?

The drinks

The drinks menu features These Days’ signature cocktails such as the fruity Sundown Spritz made with citrusy blood orange and Venetian Spritz, which is a reimagination of the classic Venetian peach bellini. A ‘spritz on rotation’ is also available at the bar and allows you to try a spritz in development. The These Days signatures are available both in a glass and bottle which is a great shout if you’re bringing a group along.

Classic aperitifs are also available such as the americano, no not the coffee, and negronis with or without the prosecco in it, along with house wines and lagers. A small selection of snacks are also featured on the menu to give you something to nibble on as you sip on your spritz.

The aperitivo bar will be a refreshing alternative along the beer mile for those not so crazy about beer or anyone who wants a little spritz intermission as they hop between breweries.

These Days opens on the Bermondsey Beer Mile on May 11, 2023. Find it at 100 Druid Street, SE1 2HQ (nearest station is Bermondsey) and read more about them on their website.
