Hailey Bieber Might Be One Of Ariel’s Sisters With Her Wet Look Eyeshadow— See the Photos

Is that Hailey Bieber or is that one of Ariel’s sisters? The model and Rhode founder was giving mermaid-core in a major way with her wet-look, super sparkly eye makeup for a day in London, and luckily for us, her makeup artist shared all the details.

Hailey wore the shimmery eye shadow on day one of her trip across the pond, as documented on her Instagram. Her hair was pulled tightly back in a sleek, slicked-down chignon to keep all the focus on her face, namely that glimmering sea crystal eye, which was covered in a sheer wash of iridescent color all the way up to her brows for a subtly ethereal effect like the scales on a mermaid’s fantastical tail.

Makeup artist Nikki Makeup broke down the basics behind Hailey’s mermaid-core eye and glazed donut skin with an easy Instagram tutorial and complete product breakdown. First, Nikki prepped her skin with Rhode’s Peptide Glazing Fluid, Barrier Restore Cream, and Peptide Lip Treatment in Salted Caramel for that dewy shine, then used Clé de Peau Beauté’s Radiant Fluid Foundation for sheer coverage.

Before applying the glitter eye, Nikki drew a sharp line on Hailey’s upper lids with Ere Perez Jojoba Eye Pencil, then diffused it with a brush. The shimmer in question is the shade “Alchemy” from NABLA Cosmetics, though Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Shadow in Aura would give you a similar iridescent look. After Hailey’s lids were patted with sparkle, Nikki re-drew the eyeliner with Diorshow On Stage Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner and applied a coat of brown mascara from Yves Saint Laurent. Danessa Myricks Beauty Vision Flush Glow highlighter in Femme, an opalescent pink-lilac, and Tower28 BeachPlease Lip + Cheek Cream in Golden Hour, a tangerine, were applied to Hailey’s cheeks and cheekbones for even more beachy, just-got-out-of-the-ocean texture and colour. Disney, if you’re casting a Little Mermaid sequel anytime soon, you may want to hit up Mrs. Hailey Bieber for a cameo.
